this Pagani SUV Concept fused the best of Ferrari Purosangue and Rolls-Royce Cullinan into one, with the cherry of ultra-exclusive ‘art’ on top.

How does the idea of a Huarya-like Pagani SUV sound? Wild and bold, right? But this idea is not surprising because Horacio Pagani has been pondering on the same for quite some time now. And so, with the help of our digital art guru – Rostislav Prokop for a Hotcars exclusive render, we let our imagination run wild of a Pagani Huayra SUV with unadulterated V12 power.

What is the most powerful SUV in the world? the 1,020-hp tesla Model X Plaid is the no-brainer answer. And for those who loathe the sight of EVs, it is the mighty Dodge Durango SRt Hellcat (which is thankfully still alive!). But today, the line between a powerful SUV and a supercar has faded.

the most sensational example of the same is the Ferrari Purosangue. the Prancing Horse packs a menacing V12 in the body of a four-door four-seater tourer. there is no other SUV like Ferrari’s until our Pagani SUV Concept comes into the picture.

Our Pagani SUV utilizes the beautiful design language of the Huayra supercar. the front and rear fascia shows us how a Pagani supercar will look on Stilts. And Prokop has cleverly beefed up the wheel arches and proportions to bring about the brawn we all search for in an SUV. And many would have already guessed it.

We have used the Ferrari Purosangue as the benchmark for this concept, as the side profile shows the inspiration vividly. this SUV does not fit into the generic format of the huge gas-gulping behemoth we are familiar with. We have strived to instill as much Pagani flair into an SUV as possible. the front and rear bumpers with the splitter and diffuser, respectively, along with the iconic four-pot exhaust tip, all remind us of how beautiful a Pagani SUV can look.

And most importantly, the Pagani SUV Concept also shows us how gorgeous a family-friendly exotic automotive piece of art will look. this beautiful Italian SUV rides on 22-inch front and 23-inch rear blacked-out center-lock wheels. Also, you might have noticed that our SUV Concept is devoid of door handles. the side profile is smooth and plush. the door “handles” are present in the form of haptic touchpads on the door sills. this is just one example of sophisticated technology integrated into a practical Pagani supercar for the fam.

Pagani SUV Packs A V12 From the Utopia SupercarHotCars Photo © 2023 Valnet

the most striking part of our Pagani SUV, apart from its gorgeous design, is that it packs a pure V12 engine. And we have taken the absolute best of what Pagani has to offer today when it comes to performance and added it to this SUV. It gets the same twin-turbocharged AMG V12 engine from the Pagani Utopia. Just like the supercar, the Pagani SUV Concept packs 851 hp and 809 lb-ft of torque from the 6.0-Liter engine.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a smooth DCt gearbox. And this hypothetical SUV is also the first Pagani to get a DCt, as all supercars from this exotic Italian marque still use a single-clutch transmission. to strike the right chord between comfort and performance, the Pagani SUV Concept comes with four-wheel steering, adaptive suspension, and loads of assistive safety features.

Ferrari has bolded started an interesting new category of “supercars”. they aren’t calling the Purosangue an SUV but a four-door four-seater sports car. At first, this did humor us, and we thought that it was Ferrari’s cheeky marketing stunt to dodge their own testament from years ago that they will never make an “SUV”. But now that we have dived deep into Ferrari’s four-door bet, it shows a fading line between an SUV and a supercar. And the Pagani SUV Concept also slides right into this category. the Purosangue packs a 715-HP naturally-aspirated 6.5-Liter V12 engine.

Our Pagani SUV uses a twin-turbocharged 6.0-Liter V12 to pack 136 hp more. Ferrari Purosangue does 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 192 mph. But our Pagani SUV is capable of hitting 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of over 200 mph. the only other V12 packing an SUV is the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, and “performance” is the least of its interests. And that’s why this Pagani SUV Concept slots in as the arch-rival that will give the Ferrari Purosangue a serious run!

Will We Ever See A Production-Ready Pagani SUV?HotCars Photo © 2023 Valnet

Horacio Pagani had mentioned in an interview with Autocar that Pagani hasn’t ruled out the idea to build an SUV. He also mentioned that the glorious AMG-sourced V12 will be used till 2026. So the stars do align on the possibility of a production-ready V12 Pagani SUV. But don’t expect one before 2025. And even if it materializes, it will be the most exclusive production SUV the world has ever seen. In the Autocar interview back in 2019, Pagani also mentioned that he would have to price his SUV at over €3 million (~$3.18 million today).

Now a Pagani SUV is a Purosangue, and a Cullinan fused into one, with the cherry of ultra-exclusivity on top. But almost 10 times the price?! Is it worth that much? Well, there are priceless artworks out there, right? Just like how Ferrari created a bold new subsection of the SUV segment, Pagani can do it too! What do you think?
